Bracken and Brambles

In June 2013 we entered them in a fun dog show and Bracken won a 1st in best working breed and he also got a "Reserve in show" award. Brambles won 1st for "the one the judge would like to take home" he has good judgment. 

Bracken is now five and is enjoying life, he had a problem with his paws, which after a DNA test was diagnosed as allergies. It now has been found that he is allergic to, rice, milk, lamb, beef, dust mites and storage mites!!

We had never heard of storage mites, but apparently they are common in dry food and normally appear after a bag of food has been opened for a couple of weeks. We now have changed his food, still staying with Burns, to potatoes and Pork which he loves and store it in airtight container. Out goes hide chews , Bonios and the majority of treats as they contain "meat derivatives" which means beef. His treats are now made by The Laughing Dog Company, which makes biscuits without all his allergies.

Bracken is also on desensitising injections and is recovering very well.
